Who are you?

I’m DJ PBNJEFFY—Jeffy for short—and I’ve been DJing for nearly three years. My deep love of music inspired me to pursue this path, as music has always been a big part of my life. One of the most fulfilling parts of being a DJ is getting to share that love with others, knowing everyone has their own relationship with music. My style is eclectic and electric—I’m a genre bender who loves blending iconic classics with newer tracks and deep cuts, all with the goal of making people dance and have fun. I’m always challenging myself to keep things fresh by exploring new music, trying out creative blends, and never playing the same set twice.

What's your DJ philosophy?

My approach to DJing is all about versatility and passion. I love having a wide variety of music ready to go, from house and hip-hop to disco and funk, and mixing different decades to create something unique. Starting with a strong warm-up to set the tone, I build energy into a full-on dance party while always playing music I love—because if I’m feeling it, the crowd will too. Spontaneity plays a huge role in my sets, as I thrive on blending genres, using creative edits and mashups, and keeping things unpredictable. I’m constantly reading the energy of the crowd, making adjustments to keep them on the dancefloor while bringing my own energy to match theirs.

What do you contribute to Spin Society?

What sets me apart as a DJ is my ability to tap into people’s personal connections with music. I view music as a powerful force, and I work hard to use it to create meaningful moments for everyone on the dancefloor. My strengths lie in my preparation, mixing skills, and knowledge of music theory, which help me deliver smooth, exciting sets every time. I’m highly organized, calm under pressure, and focused on strong communication to align with a client’s vision—and even surpass it. My creativity, song selection, and genuine personality make my performances stand out, and I take pride in turning every event into an unforgettable experience.
