Who are you?

I’m Mike Mason-Love, a DJ and an 18-year active-duty Air Force member. My love for DJing started as a kid, hanging out in my cousin’s room, listening to his party tapes, and stumbling across a DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince cassette—that’s when I knew I wanted to be a DJ. I kicked things off in my garage back in 2007, then started doing events on base before moving into the local club scene in Colorado. My job’s had me traveling all over, which let me experience different sounds and vibes, but now I’ve found my home with Spin Society.

What's your DJ philosophy?

As a DJ, my philosophy is all about giving people something to remember. If you know your music (and every DJ should), you’ve got to dig through your crates and bring the energy with tracks that take them back to the good times they had when they first heard it. At the same time, it’s about creating new memories for them to hold onto.

What do you contribute to Spin Society?

Spin Society is already packed with amazing DJs who bring all the qualities people look for in a great DJ. What I bring to the team is my authentic self. Being part of such an incredible roster gives me the confidence to let my personality shine through my sets and give 100% to whoever I’m playing for.
